Each
year, downtown North Adams welcomes the highly anticipated Berkshire Food
Festival for its delectable bites, drinks, and music. Now in its 12th year, this
annual event will bring together some of the area’s top vendors in a showcase
of culinary grandeur and microbrewery blends on Sunday, September 15th.

Considered one of the largest festivals of its kind in Berkshire Country, the
Berkshire Food Festival features more than 20 restaurants in addition to music,
beer, and wine. If you’re looking to taste some of the region’s best, you’ve
definitely come to the right place.

From 12:00pm until 4:00pm, foodies storm Main Street for the chance to sample mouthwatering
treats from area restaurants, including Gramercy Bistro (upscale seasonal
bistro), Desperado’s (Mexican grub), and Boston Sea Foods Restaurant (seafood-inspired
bites) among others. From Italian to American to Indian fare, you’ll find a
little bit of everything while roaming these grounds.

Of course, plenty of the area’s breweries and wine bars will showcase some of
their prized possessions, too. Learn about the tools of the trade while tasting
an eclectic mix of brewskies and wines; with vendors like Bantam Cider, Berkshire
Brewing Company, and Madison Brewing Co. on the list, oenophiles and beer connoisseurs
are sure to find a few spirits to their liking.

And while you’re browsing samples and tapping your feet to the music, you can
also enter to win gift certificates from any of the participating eateries (a
delicious reward, indeed!). So come and enjoy the very best the northeast has
to offer during this exclusive event.

What Can I Expect?

Our experienced guide is Holly Brouker, with comprehensive knowledge of American Indian traditions relating to the moon. Her treks consist of a light trail hike with informative discussions, followed by a bonfire, wine tastings, and entertainment. Holly sets off promptly at 6:30pm, so be sure to arrive at Hilltop Orchards 15 minutes early to check-in, use the restroom, and tie on your hiking boots. Also, it’s a good idea to bring a light snack and a bottle of water for the trail.

About Hilltop Orchards & Furnace Brook Winery

Sweeping across 200 acres in the scenic Massachusetts Berkshires, the sweet apples of historic Hilltop Orchards share their gorgeous terrain with Furnace Brook Winery, home of many award-winning vintages.
